Speaker
Our featured speakers will be Barry C. Taylor, VP for Civil Rights and Systemic Litigation at Equip for Equality, and Laurie Dittman, Senior Policy Analyst for the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities.
Topic: The Intersection of Disability and Emergency Preparedness
Given the numerous recent weather and gun-related emergencies, we thought having a session on the intersection of disability and emergency preparedness would be timely. Barry Taylor will start the session by reviewing how the ADA has been used to ensure that people with disabilities are included in emergency preparedness plans by municipalities and schools. And then Laurie Dittman will provide an update on the work of the City of Chicago on emergency preparedness and people with disabilities.
CLE Credit
This program will be eligible for 1.5 hours of Continuing Legal Education Credit.
