Topic: Alternatives to Adult Guardianship
Description: Our speaker will be Kaitlynn Milvert, a staff attorney and Skadden Fellow at Equip for Equality who will be speaking about alternatives to adult guardianship. Kaitlynn will discuss her work with Equip for Equality through her Skadden Fellowship project to increase access to less restrictive alternatives to guardianship for adults with disabilities. The presentation will also address current issues related to adult guardianship and recent state and national developments aimed at expanding alternatives to guardianship that support the self-determination of adults with disabilities.
